What is a Naturopath?

To become a Naturopath today you are required to complete a four year Bachelors degree. It is evidence based and works on integrative medicine i.e. working with mainstream and complementary medicine. Naturopathic medicine focuses on the use of therapeutic methods that encourage our inherent self-healing process. A naturopath helps guide and support you through this process. The goal is to identify and treat the underlying cause of the condition not just the symptoms. Treatment methods include lifestyle, nutritional and herbal medicine, taking onto consideration your current health status.

I became a naturopath whilst looking for answers to some of my own health issues, mostly mental health issues around anxiety and depression. I also didn't like seeing so much confusing information out in the public domain and as the internet became more prevalent we got bombarded with conflicting and confusing information. The important thing to note is what might be good for one person may not necessarily be good for another. So, if you feel out of balance, or just want to feel better then maybe it's time to see a Naturopath.

You can book in for a 15 minute discovery call to see if it's right for you or book your initial consultation.
